I had a few challenges snapping photos and videos beyond 50 feet.
It hovers in place quite well, even in a mild breeze, although I suspect that is going to drain the battery faster. It was snappy and forgiving of my attempts to fly it around the house, which neither my wife nor son found very intelligent so I took it outside. Even though it seems to be more of a toy, especially since it is so small and lightweight (plus it fits in the palm of your hand) the 5-megapixel camera produces solid results and is perfect for people who want to capture a selfie or video in a special location.ĭJI sent me a loaner unit to test and, after some false starts on my part, I fell in love with this little guy. This tiny drone packs a lot of power for that low price and it is quite durable, a feature you will appreciate if you are new to flying-because you will almost assuredly crash it a number of times as you get started.
